A deep dive into PE foam technology
Learn about the advantages of complex formation processes
Ready to meet today’s industry demands
ArmaLight® is created using a complex formation process known as foam extrusion, which includes expanding the base material by 50 times its original volume. As a result, the foam structure comprises numerous closed cells that can be as small as a few micrometers. At Armacell, we developed a unique process, allowing us to incorporate up to 40 percent of recycled materials sourced from household waste without compromising the material’s performance.
Did you know that our ArmaLight solutions can be recycled up to 100 percent?
Explore the unique qualities of ArmaLight technology
We are committed to our environmental responsibility. And it’s this commitment that sets the stage for our ArmaLight® technology, withdrawing from the use of persistent and ozone depleting CFCs as blowing agents as one of the first players in our industry. This decision lays the groundwork for our flagship product of the ArmaLight product family, Tubolit, designed to deliver energy efficiency, exceptional mechanical protection, and acoustic comfort.
Meeting sustainable building demands
Meeting sustainable building demands
ArmaLight® technology is the optimal solution for indoor applications, characterized by its freedom from VOCs (volatile organic compounds) and its exceptional fire resistance. We are committed to health and environmental well-being, which is reflected in our products. They consist of up to 40 percent recycled materials and are entirely free from harmful substances, including SVHCs (substances of very high concern), ensuring a safe and sustainable choice for your projects. Our ArmaLight range is also recyclable, ensuring that products can be repurposed into films, foams, and other manufactured goods at the end of their lifecycle. This not only reduces waste but also promotes a circular approach. Several ArmaLight products have obtained environmental certifications, including certified Environmental Product Declarations Type 3, and use pre- and post-consumer raw material, which set it apart from alternatives that lack such environmental credentials.
Excellent acoustic performance
Excellent acoustic performance
The flexible closed-cell material excels in structure-borne sound insulation properties, making it an ideal choice for enhancing acoustic comfort across building service equipment applications. It reliably reduces noise from pipes installed in floors and walls and offers dedicated solutions for special applications, such as pipes running through installation shafts.
Optimal ease and speed of installation
Optimal ease and speed of installation
With its ease and speed of installation, ArmaLight® ensures efficiency and convenience in your insulation projects. Thanks to the availability of self-adhesive tubes and Tubolit system installation clips, it can be quickly and cleanly installed, even by less experienced installers. The foam insulation is easy to cut and retains its cylindrical shape, making it simple to install on pipes. Additionally, the lightweight nature of the product allows for easy fitting to the shape of the pipes. Armacell offers a wide range of products to fit many different pipe diameters and insulation thicknesses, including self-adhesive variants. For those in need of increased mechanical and chemical resistance, we also offer special products for installation in floors and walls or in direct contact with concrete.
