A holistic approach ensures optimal thermal performance
To achieve best-in-class thermal performance, you need to consider the technical attributes of an insulation system. With Armacell’s insulation solutions, you can take your thermal performance BEYOND BETTER by finding the solution that’s ideal for your project.
Whitepaper on thermal performance
There are four key factors that affect thermal performance, including thermal conductivity and installation reliability. How do you find the best solution for your project and improve thermal performance? Learn how to achieve optimal thermal performance by downloading and reading this whitepaper.
The right insulation offers significant energy savings
A typical HVAC system accounts for 40 percent the total energy consumption in commercial buildings. That makes improving insulation one of most energy-efficient ways to reduce carbon dioxide emissions. In fact, cost-effective remediation of insufficient, missing, or damaged industrial insulation could reduce energy use by the equivalent of 10 million households in the European Union.
Achieve optimal thermal performance by realising the potential of insulation
To realise the potential of insulation and achieve optimal thermal performance, specifiers and contractors must consider many technical aspects, including thermal conductivity, water vapour diffusion resistance, insulation degradation, and installation reliability. These are key factors that all have a critical impact on an insulation system’s thermal performance, longevity, and eventually total cost of installation and ownership. Both in-field and simulated results show that ArmaFlex offers high thermal performance, outperforming mineral wool and PUR materials, even under compromised conditions.
The smallest detail can have significant consequences
Improve your thermal performance with our innovative portfolio
At Armacell, we offer a comprehensive system including specially formulated ArmaFlex adhesive to offer aesthetically seamless joins that are also functionally robust. This means that when properly installed, the seams maintain a high resistance to water vapour ingress and will not break open at the joints, ensuring you get optimal thermal performance.
Closed-cell insulation outperforms legacy materials
ArmaFlex® is a closed-cell insulation material, which means it is able to maintain a low thermal conductivity performance over a longer period of time when compared to legacy materials. Legacy materials, such as mineral wool and PUR materials, require an external water vapour barrier – often a thin foil covering that can degrade over time or become damaged during installation or daily operations. AF/ArmaFlex, for example, was installled at a data centre in The Netherlands, and showed to deliver the same performance even after 40 years of being in operation.
